Over the years since the introduction of the Suzuki Vitara (in the late 1980s) the car has gone through many changes.
It started life as a mini-SUV with a heavy chassis and off-road capability to compete with the likes of the Ford Bronco at that time.
In 2005 the car went through a big change to become a compact crossover SUV, losing its off-road ability but losing a lot of weight during the process.
Along with the weight loss came much more room for comfort and safety technology and legroom for the occupants.
In 2017 the fourth-generation Vitara was introduced and this time it was changed once again, now it was sold as a subcompact crossover SUV (like the Ford EcoSport or Kia Soul).
This much smaller model was again a lot lighter than before with smaller engines requiring less power to move it.
Customers loved the lower running costs and thanks to advancements n technology the inside of the car boasts even more features than before.
To get a feel for the included technology inside the car you can read through the official owner's manual.
A copy of that 2021 Vitara manual is embedded on this page in PDF format that is easily downloaded and printed.
