NOISE, VIBRATION AND HARSHNESS (NVH) TROUBLESHOOTING, refer to DRIVE SHAFT chart, use chart below to find the cause of the symptom, removing ball joint steering knuckle.
FRONT WHEEL HUB AND KNUCKLE, make sure that the mounting conditions (looseness, backlash) of each component component conditions, move wheel hub and bearing assembly in the axial direction by hand, rotate wheel hub and make sure there is no unusual noise or other irregular conditions.
Irregular conditions, replace wheel hub bearing assembly, refer to "Components" for symbols figure, remove wheel sensor and sensor harness, never pull wheel sensor harness.
Never depress brake pedal while brake caliper removed, temporarily tighten the nut to prevent damage to threads and to prevent ball joint remover, note the following, and install in the reverse order removal, perform the final tightening of each of parts under unladen conditions, which were removed when removing.
Wheel hub and bearing assembly steering knuckle, check components for deformation, cracks, and other damage, check boots of transverse link and steering outer socket ball joint for breakage, axial play, torque, check wheel sensor harness for proper connection.
