Manual Description
ROAD WHEEL AND TYRE ASSEMBLY 4, balancing Wheels (Adhesion Balance Weight Type), sERVICE DATA AND SPECIFICATIONS (SDS) 6, nOISE, VIBRATION AND HARSHNESS (NVH) TROUBLESHOOTING.

Refer to ROAD WHEEL chart, use the chart below to help you find the cause of the symptom, check tyres for wear improper inflation, check wheels for deformation, cracks other damage.

Deformed, remove wheel and check wheel runout, remove tyre from aluminum wheel and mount tyre balance, set dial indicator as shown illustration, refer to "SERVICE DATA AND SPECIFICATIONS (SDS)".

Remove tyre from steel wheel and mount wheel on tyre balance machine, set two dial indicators as shown illustration, set each dial indicator 0, rotate wheel and check dial indicators several points around.

Calculate runout at each point shown below, radial runout = (A + B)/2, lateral runout = (C + D)/2, select maximum positive runout value and maximum negative value.

In case a positive or negative value is not available, use, maximum value (negative or positive) total runout, if the total runout value exceeds the limit, replace steel wheel, rOAD WHEEL AND TYRE ASSEMBLY.

Remove inner and outer balance weights road wheel, be careful not to scratch road wheel during removal, using releasing agent, remove double-faced adhesive tape road wheel, q After removing the double-faced adhesive tape, wipe off traces of releasing agents road.

If a tyre balance machine has both an adhesion balance weight mode setting and drive-in weight mode, setting, select and adjust a drive-in weight mode suitable road wheels, set road wheel on wheel balancer using the center hole as a guide, when inner and outer unbalance values are shown on the wheel balancer indicator, multiply outer unbalance value by 5/3 to determine balance weight that should be used.

A value closest to the calculated value above and install it to the designated outer position of, designated angle in relation road wheel, q Before installing the balance weight, be sure clean, indicated unbalance value × 5/3 = balance weight be installed.

Weight (closer to calculated balance weight value), note that a balance weight value must be closer to the calculated balance weight value, install balance weight in the position shown figure, when installing balance weights to road wheels, set it into.

Grooved area on the inner wall of road wheel as shown in the figure so that the balance weight center is aligned with wheel, q Always use genuine NISSAN adhesion balance weights, q Balance weights are non-reusable; always replace with, q Do not install more than three sheets balance weight.

If calculated balance weight value exceeds 50 g (1, two balance weight sheets in line with each other (as shown, do not install one balance weight sheet top another, install drive-in balance weight on inner side of road wheel.

Do not install more than two balance weights, unbalance values are 10 g (0, q If either residual unbalance value exceeds 10 g (0, after rotating the tyres, adjust tyre pressure.

Retighten the wheel nuts when the vehicle has been driven, km miles) (also in cases of flat tyre, etc, when installing wheels, tighten wheel nuts diagonally.
