Manual Description
SERVICE DATA AND SPECIFICATIONS (SDS) 9, remove cable from toggle lever disc brake, operate parking brake lever with a force of 196 N (20 kg, 44 lb), check parking lever assembly for bend, damage and cracks, and replace there is.

Check cables and equalizer for wear and damage, check parking brake warning lamp switch, check each part for deformation, or damage by contact with other parts, insert a deep-well socket wrench into opening parking brake.

Brake lever and adjust rear brake shoe clearance, rotate tyres & foot wheels to be sure that there no drag, after adjusting clearance of rear shoes, with no drag rear, pull parking brake lever up so that deep-well socket wrench.

Do not reuse adjusting nut after removing it, operate parking brake lever 3 to 4 times with a force 196 N, clean dust on brake disc and back plate with vacuum dust, q Remove adjusting plug attached to disc as shown in the figure.

To make clearance between brake shoe drum, push retainer as shown in the figure compress spring, remove brake shoe holding pins from mounting holes back, pull brake shoes apart and remove adjuster assembly.

Remove connecting pin between parking brake cable toggle, lever as shown in the figure, remove toggle lever, visually check the lining for wear, damage, peeling, using a scale, check thickness lining.

If necessary, remove brake shoe, check follows, check shoe sliding surface wear damage, check anti rattle pin wear corrosion, visually check inside of drum for wear, damage, cracks.

Using a pair of vernier calipers, check inside drum, apply brake grease to the contact area show left, attach upper-side return springs to brake shoe shown, orientation of adjusters is different for LH adjuster RH.

When rotating it to direction shown by arrow, when adjuster was disassembled, apply brake grease thread, assemble torque lever in direction of installation shown, after assembly, be sure that each part installed properly.

Fix disc rotor with wheel nut, and adjust brake shoe clearance, if brake shoes were replaced with new ones, sERVICE DATA AND SPECIFICATIONS (SDS), lever stroke [operating force 196 N (20 kg,44 lb)].
