Manual Description
FRONT WHEEL HUB AND KNUCKLE 7, sERVICE DATA AND SPECIFICATIONS (SDS) 17, when installing rubber parts, final tightening must be carried out under unladen condition* with tires, oil will shorten the life of rubber bushes.

*: Fuel, radiator coolant and engine oil full, after installing removed suspension parts, check wheel alignment adjust necessary, observe the following precautions when disassembling servicing drive shaft, perform work in a location which is as dust-free dirt-free possible.

Before disassembling and servicing, clean outside parts, disassembly and service location must be taken to prevent the entry foreign objects, disassembled parts must be carefully reassembled in the correct order, cover must be placed over parts.

Paper shop cloths must be used, disassembled parts (except for rubber parts) should be cleaned with kerosene which shall be removed by, blowing with air or wiping with paper shop cloths, removing tie-rod outer end lower ball.

Removing inner race on outer side wheel, nOISE, VIBRATION, AND HARSHNESS (NVH) TROUBLESHOOTING, refer to FRONT AXLE chart, refer to DRIVE SHAFT chart.

Use the chart below to help you find the cause of the symptom, fRONT WHEEL HUB AND KNUCKLE, inspect to check that there is no excessive play, cracking, wear, turn front wheels (left/right) check play.

Check that no nails or other foreign objects embedded, retighten all axle nuts and bolts specified torque, with the vehicle raised, inspect following, move wheel hub in the axial direction by hand.

Rotate wheel hub and check that there is no unusual noise or other irregular conditions, irregular conditions, replace wheel bearing, remove brake caliper from steering knuckle, avoid depressing the brake pedal with brake caliper removed.

Remove ABS wheel speed sensor steering knuckle, remove disc rotor wheel hub, when using a ball joint remover, install nuts temporarily, remove drive shaft steering knuckle.

For tightening torque and other information, refer to the component parts drawing, set steering knuckle on bench vise at point where strut, when placing onto bench vise, be careful not damage, strut mounting surface of steering knuckle.

As shown in the figure, use a puller, drift, bearing replacer, remove inner race of outer wheel bearing wheel hub, use a flat bladed screwdriver or similar tool remove snap ring, be careful not to scratch steering knuckle.

Fix steering knuckle to bench vise, and hammer to remove splash guard steering knuckle, check wheel bearings for damage, seizure, and corrosion, check steering knuckle for deformation, cracks, and other damage.

Check snap ring for wear or other damage, use a drift to install splash guard onto steering knuckle, discard the old splash guard; replace with new one, install splash guard in position shown figure.

Discard the old wheel bearing; replace with new one, install snap ring onto steering knuckle, as shown in the figure, apply a load 49,030 N (5,000.
