When installing rubber bushings, the final tightening must be carried out under unladen conditions with tires, - Unladen conditions mean that fuel, engine coolant and lubricant are full, after servicing suspension parts, be sure check wheel alignment, self-lock nuts are not reusable.

The tightening surface must be kept free oil/grease, when jacking up the vehicle with a floor jack, do not hang the jack suspension beam, nOISE, VIBRATION AND HARSHNESS (NVH) TROUBLESHOOTING, shock absorber deformation, damage deflection.

Use chart below to find the cause of the symptom, check the mounting conditions (looseness, backlash) of each component, check the shock absorber for oil leaks or damage, measure the wheel alignment under unladen conditions.

Unladen conditions” means that fuel, engine coolant, and lubricants are full, a Four-Wheel Thrust Alignment should be performed, this type of alignment is recommended any NISSAN vehicle, the four-wheel thrust” process helps ensure that the vehicle is properly aligned steering wheel.

The alignment machine itself should be capable of accepting any NISSAN vehicle, the alignment machine should be checked to ensure that it level, make sure the alignment machine properly calibrated, your alignment machine should be regularly calibrated in order give correct information.

Check with the manufacturer of your specific alignment machine for their recommended Service/Calibration Schedule, iMPORTANT: Use only the alignment specifications listed in this Service Manual, the alignment specifications programmed into your alignment machine that operate these indicators, this may result an ERROR.

Optional "Jacking Compensation" method to "compensate" the alignment targets head units, if using the "Rolling Compensation" method, after installing the alignment targets or head units, push, pull on the rear wheel to move the vehicle, if using the "Jacking Compensation" method, after installing the alignment targets head units, raise.

The vehicle and rotate the wheels 1/2 turn both ways, follow all instructions for the alignment machine you're using more information, measure camber of both right and left wheels with suitable alignment gauge, measure the total toe-in using following procedure.

Damaged or worn rear suspension parts, always perform the following procedure flat surface, make sure that no person is in front of the vehicle before pushing it, at the same height of hub center.

Measure the distance (A) rear side, push the rear wheel to move the vehicle slowly ahead, rotate the wheels 180 degrees (1/2 turn), if the wheels have rotated more than 180 degrees (1/2 turn).

Try the above procedure again from beginning, measure the distance (B) front side, remove the rear shock tower access flap.
