Manual Description
FUEL LEVEL SENSOR UNIT, FUEL FILTER AND, sERVICE DATA AND SPECIFICATIONS (SDS) 13, inspect fuel lines, filler cap and tank improper attachment, leaks, cracks, damage, loose connections, chafing deterioration.
If necessary, repair replace faulty parts, when replacing fuel line parts, be sure observe following, put a CAUTION: FLAMMABLE” sign workshop, do not smoke while servicing fuel system.
Be sure to furnish the workshop with CO2 fire extinguisher, before removing fuel line parts, carry out following procedures, put drained fuel in an explosion-proof container and put lid securely, release fuel pressure from fuel line.
Always replace O-ring with new ones, do not kink or twist hose tube while installing, do not tighten hose clamps excessively avoid damaging hoses, after installation, run engine and check for fuel leaks connections.
Use only a genuine NISSAN fuel filler cap as a replacement, for inspection and installation of EVAP system parts, refer to EC-33, "System Diagram" [QG18DE, for inspection and installation of ORVR system parts, refer to EC-33, "System Diagram" [QG18DE, fUEL LEVEL SENSOR UNIT, FUEL FILTER AND FUEL PUMP ASSEMBLY.
Release fuel pressure fuel line, refer to "FUEL PRESSURE RELEASE" [QG18DE, open the fuel filler lid filler cap, remove the inspection hole cover located under rear seat.
Pull out the fuel level sensor unit fuel pump, q Using a screwdriver, remove the snap fit portion order, q Put mating marks on tubes and connectors correct installation, q Using a screwdriver, depress the snap fit portion order.
Installation is in the reverse order removal, refer to "FUEL PRESSURE RELEASE" [QG18DE (Calif, pull up to remove the fuel level sensor unit fuel pump, q Put mating marks on fuel pump and fuel filter correct.
Q Put mating marks on fuel filter and fuel level sensor unit, installation is in reverse order removal, refer to "FUEL PRESSURE RELEASE" [QG18DE (except Calif, drain the fuel fuel tank.
Disconnect the quick connector(s) follows, put mating marks on the tubes connector(s) correct, hold the sides of the connector, push in tabs, pull out, nuts and clips holding the protector, and then remove protector.
Q To remove the clips, use pliers to squeeze extensions, shown by the arrows in the figure, and then remove clip, to install, reverse the removal procedure, align mating marks on tubes and connector(s) correct installation.
Align push in tabs with retainer openings, insert tube into the center of the connector until you hear click, after connecting the quick connector, make sure the connection is fully seated using following method, pull on the fuel tube and connector to make sure they firmly connected.
Start the engine, increase engine speed and verify that there no leaks, sERVICE DATA AND SPECIFICATIONS (SDS)...
