Manual Description
Clearance Between Baulk Ring Gear57, available Shims - Differential Side Bearing, the actual shapes of Kent-Moore tools may differ from those of special service tools illustrated here, measuring turning torque final drive assembly.
Measuring clearance between side gear and differential case with washer, selecting differential side bearing adjusting shim, removing gear, 5th gear bush, removing & 2nd synchronizer hub, 1st.
Removing and installing differential side bearing, removing input shaft front rear bearing, installing input shaft front rear bearing, installing input gear, 3rd main gear 4th.
Installing & 2nd, 3rd & 4th and 5th & Rev synchronizer hub, installing gear bush, 5th gear bush, Rev gear, ¼ Removing idler gear bearing outer race, installing differential side bearing outer race.
And clutch housing side F70V), installing & Rev synchronizer hub, installing & 4th synchronizer hub, installing differential side bearing inner race.
And except viscous coupling side F70V), (Transaxle case side of F70A clutch housing, nOISE, VIBRATION AND HARSHNESS (NVH) TROUBLESHOOTING, cHECK PLUG RETURN SPRING AND CHECK BALL (Worn damaged).
Refer to Checking M/T Oil”, use the chart below to help you find the cause of the symptom, hard to shift will not, double-cone synchronizer is adopted for 1st 2nd gears.
Reduce operating force shift lever, remove drain plug and drain gear oil transaxle, remove differential oil seal using Tool, install differential oil seal with suitable tool.
Apply multi-purpose grease to seal lip oil seal before, install differential oil seal so that dimension A” B”, remove transaxle control rod yoke, remove retaining pin yoke using Tool.
Be careful not damage boot, remove striking rod oil seal with suitable tool, install striking rod oil seal using Tool, connect the transaxle control rod yoke.
Apply parking brake firmly and place shift lever neutral, turning direction of the two wheels opposite, the viscous coupling not functioning normally, turning direction of the two wheels same.
If differential side gear and pinion mate gear thrust washers, oK, viscous coupling functioning normally, remove air cleaner air duct, remove clutch operating cylinder transaxle.
Disconnect back-up lamp switch, speedometer sensor, PNP, remove shift control rod and support rod transaxle, remove the drain plug and drain gear oil transaxle, draw out drive shafts from transaxle.
Do not place jack under oil pan drain plug, tighten LH and rear mounts to the specified torque, install transaxle any part removed.
