Manual Description
Clutch assembly is a single disc type with diaphragm spring, cable, release lever release bearing, adjust clutch pedal height before adjusting free play, clutch interlock switch is located clutch pedal bracket.

With clutch pedal fully depressed, adjust clearance between rubber, stopper and threaded end of interlock switch, clutch pedal height is adjusted by adjusting clutch pedal, stopper or clutch switch, located below pedal hinge.

Pedal height is as specified in CLUTCH PEDAL HEIGHT SPECIFICATIONS, adjust free play at release lever end clutch cable, direction of clutch disengagement to remove free play, back off adjusting nut 2.

CAUTION: When battery is disconnected, vehicle computer memory, exist until computer systems have completed relearn cycle, remove battery and battery holder plate, support rear of engine using jack.

All components except clutch disc and release bearing can be, check clutch disc for wear, indicator plunger against face of disc at specified distance hub, replace clutch disc runout exceeds specification.

Measure backlash (spline looseness) at outer edge disc, the CLUTCH DISC MAXIMUM BACKLASH SPECIFICATIONS table, check disc hub fit on input shaft splines, check difference in height between diaphragm spring.

Inspect flywheel and pressure plate scoring, grooves, surfaces are deeply scored, replace flywheel pressure plate, cLUTCH DISC MAXIMUM RUNOUT SPECIFICATIONS TABLE ( 1), - Distance from hub center where runout be measured.

CLUTCH DISC MAXIMUM BACKLASH SPECIFICATIONS TABLE, lubricate input shaft splines contact surfaces, clutch is aligned with appropriate-sized clutch aligner, tighten bolts evenly in diagonal pattern.

Clutch pedal height and free play, cLUTCH PEDAL FREE PLAY under ADJUSTMENTS, after installing clutch cable, adjust clutch pedal free, disconnect clutch cable at transaxle clutch pedal.

Align release fork retaining pins with cavities, check contact areas of release bearing fork excessive, spring and release bearing spring for wear, using a lithium-based grease, lubricate inner groove.

To install, reverse removal procedure, align holes in shaft and release fork, models, install release bearing retainer springs bearing, installing release bearing, verify bearing springs secured.

Clutch Interlock Switch Lock Nut 106-133 (12-15), cruise Control Switch Lock Nut 106-133 (12-15), master Cylinder Mounting Nut 71-97 (8-11), slave Cylinder Bleeder Screw 53-89 (6-10).
