When Mazda wanted to introduce a new crossover SUV to slot between the CX-3 and CX-5 they decided to name it the CX-30.
There was already a model by the name of CX-4 that the company makes and sells exclusively in China.
The CX-30 is classed as a subcompact crossover SUV like the CX-3 but this model is a few percent larger.
Instead of being built on top of a heavy chassis designed to go off-road, a crossover SUV is built for standard road driving and so is a lot lighter.
Back in 2019, the CX-30 went into production and buyers in the UK got their models in the last few months of that year, whereas US-based customers had to wait for the start of 2020.
Inside the car is a whole range of comfort and safety features that you can only really appreciate by reading through the official owner's manual.
A copy of the 2021 Mazda CX-30 manual is kept on this page in PDF format that is easily viewable on pretty much every device and computer.
