Manual Description
If you perform maintenance yourself, be sure to follow the correct procedure given these sections, funnel (used only adding brake, toyota Super Long Life Coolant”, or similar high quality ethylene glycol based non-silicate, non-amine.
Is pre-mixed with 50% coolant, is pre-mixed with 55% coolant, rag or paper towel, funnel (used, fuse with same amperage rating.
Funnel (used only adding power, water washer fluid containing antifreeze (for winter use), the engine compartment contains many mechanisms and fluids that may move suddenly, become hot, or become electrically energized, ● Keep hands, clothing, and tools away from the moving fan engine drive belt.
● Do not leave anything that may burn easily, such as paper or rags, engine, ● Do not smoke, cause sparks or expose an open flame to fuel battery, ● Be extremely cautious when working on the battery, ● Take care because brake fluid can harm your hands or eyes damage painted.
If fluid gets on your hands or in your eyes, flush the affected area with clean water, if you still experience discomfort, see doctor, when working near the electric cooling fan radiator grille, be sure the ENGINE START STOP” switch OFF.
With the ENGINE START STOP” switch in IGNITION ON mode, electric, cooling fan may automatically start to run if the air conditioning and/or, wear safety glasses to prevent flying or falling material, fluid spray, etc, driving with the air filter removed may cause excessive engine wear due dirt.
If the fluid level low high, when the fluid level in accumulator high, if the reservoir needs frequent refilling, it may indicate serious problem, release the lock from the inside of the vehicle open hood.
The hood will pop up slightly, lift the hood catch lift, check that the hood is fully closed locked, cause an accident, which may result in death serious injury.
When raising your vehicle with a floor jack, position jack correctly, improper placement may damage your vehicle cause injury, make sure to observe the following to reduce the possibility death serious, ● Lift up the vehicle using a floor jack such.
● When using a floor jack, follow the instructions of the manual provided with, always use floor jack and/or automotive jack stands on a solid, flat, level surface, ● Stop the vehicle on level firm ground, firmly set the parking brake put shift, ● Make sure to set the floor jack properly jack point.
Raising the vehicle with an improperly positioned floor jack will damage the vehicle and may cause the vehicle to fall off floor jack, ● When raising the vehicle, do not place any objects on top underneath, when installing the cover, make sure that engine coolant reservoir, hose positioned as shown illustration.
Allow the center part clip, with the engine at operating temperature and turned off, check oil, holding a rag under the end, pull the dipstick out check, sTEP Park the vehicle on level ground.
More than five minutes for the oil to drain back into bottom, hold a rag under end pull, wipe the dipstick reinsert it fully, low level mark, add engine oil.
Make sure to check the oil type and prepare items needed before, add engine oil slowly, checking dipstick, install the filler cap, turning it clockwise.
