The New Yorker, Newport and Imperial soon helped brand Chrysler as a builder of advanced vehicles with precision engineering that performed elegantly. The Chrysler Corporation was quick to realize that the car manufacturing company had risen to the top of its portfolio of companies. A 20% stake acquired by FIAT in 2009 heralded a plan to reignite Chrysler’s appeal as a sophisticated, refined and luxurious performer.
The ultra-luxurious 300 sedan with its majestic mien and the Pacifica minivan are Chrysler’s twin flagbearers today.
